Upstart Cornwall Ltd started as a Cornwall business blog in 2005. After about 1 year of blogging I decided to launch a business start-up consulting service and began helping local entrepreneurs write business plans and raise capital.

A Bit About Me

Hi - I’m Eric Bergeron. A lifelong Cornwall resident and entrepreneur. I am the co-founder and President of Unexia Interactive Inc., a local web site development and online marketing company. I started Unexia in the year 2000 shortly after starting another company called Fan Support Inc. I have also been doing some consulting for clients in Toronto for the past 4 years. In 2005 I started Upstart Cornwall Ltd to provide business planning and office space for start-ups in Cornwall. Prior to working in Cornwall I developed business plans for online companies at an Internet incubator in Mississauga. I have a degree from Bishop’s University (1999) in Urban Geography, Business and Computer Science.

I live in Cornwall with my wife and two daughters. I am happy to raise my family here and am constantly looking for ways to improve this community. I am also not shy about being critical of things that I think we as a community could be doing better.
